I but bought this to replace my DVAP that is having bug. The dv dongle works groovy on my Mac, no problem at all. But, on my new Windows ten laptop, the DV Tools window is fashion also small and I tin can't seem to get it to enlarge. Admitedly, I am a novice at windows 10, simply the usual steps won't enlarge the window and it is likewise small to use. (Any tips to N3CI@arrl.net please) With this device and a laptop you can get on DStar from anywhere you have an internet connection.

I won't rehash what has already been said in other reviews. But I would similar to add that a DV Dongle is a great addition to the shack even though I besides own an ID-880H and an ID-31A.

I observe when sitting in the shack I frequently will apply it to motion from reflector to reflector searching for activity. It is much easier to practice this with the DV Dongle than it is on the local repeater or fifty-fifty a DVAP. Audio quality is much better using the figurer speakers than the smaller speaker in the radio and I also get better sound reports when transmitting than I do with my 880H or 31A.

I just got the DVDongle this week, I used the software on the installation from dvdongle.com it was very hard to fix the audio parameters, you take to play for hrs. I checked my settings on Skype, and information technology was perfect. I googled for dvdongle software, I found the latest DvTool 2.0 beta5, downloaded it worked right away without changing any settings on my sound, it's great.

I added the DV Dongle to my group of DStar related equipment. I have three DStar radios and the DVAP so information technology seemed only natural to add together this to the DStar stable of equipment. This is great for traveling when I accept to accept a laptop with me and cannot have a radio. I've been bitten by the VHF/UHF digital modes problems recently and this was the cheapest way to get on the air with D-Star. Nifty build quality and it works with every estimator I've plugged it into so far. The dongle works with a diverseness of net connections as well. The slow wi-fi on campus, wi-fi at McDonald's, cable cyberspace and even with my 250U 4G air card. I'd similar to meet a version in the future with a switched PTT or a Mic connector built-in.
